We are a pet household. We have a small domesticated farm if I’m being totally honest. Lately, with all our pups being around the same age, we’ve had a rough run.
We currently have the 4 hermit crabs, a cat, and three dogs. We added the third this past weekend which might be why I skipped a post. We have all been adjusting.
He’s handsome and has a lot of training ahead. It’s been great to see our Ham connect with him and learn some responsibility. He’s the one doing the training under guidance of Dad, of course. It’s been good to get Ham to sleep a little easier too. He had our pup Charlie in his bed with him from the time he was 2 until we had to send her over the rainbow bridge in May. Again, 2024 has been rough here.
All the ups and downs had me second guessing whether or not it’s worth it. Is it worth the pain when you have to let them go to let them into your life? With all the regular ups and downs of life the season of letting our beloved pets go was hard – still is hard. I randomly cry at thoughts of their silly antics and I just hope they know how loved they were and how much love they brought to our family.
So where do you stand? Pets or no pets?
