I’m late to the planting game this year because Hubs decided to do a complete overhaul of our garden area. It’s beautiful, slowly coming together and I’m so excited to get my hands dirty again. Before we left for vacation I planted some volunteer tomatoes that a friend saved me (thank you LW) and surprisingly they survived our week long trip. With the summer in full swing I’m intrigued to experiment and see what I can plant in this magnificent space that will take us through summer and fall here in zone 7 (I think).

Planting plans
I think I’m going to stick with some determinate tomatoes, spinach – direct sow, loofah, cucumbers, basil, oregano (I saved my plant from my previous garden, beans, thyme, mint (in a pot. I learned that lesson), chamomile (also potted. It took over last year), carrots, beets, and that might be it but I’ll have to do some more digging.
