Spicy Cabbage Sausage Soup

It’s so good it could become a fall staple for us. Here’s what you do.

  1. Brown a package (or two) of your favorite Italian sausage. I used one package mild pork and one package mild chicken sausage
  2. Dice up an onion and some garlic, measure with your heart.
  3. While the above is in your crockpot getting all warm and browned cut up your cabbage, I only used 1/2 because that’s what fit in my slow cooker
  4. Dump in two cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes and two and 1/2 cans water
  5. Add in chicken bouillon (2 tbs about) or cut the water and just put in chicken broth

Let it all cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 – then add a splash of heavy cream and some Parmesan cheese before you serve (about 30 min).
