It’s so good it could become a fall staple for us. Here’s what you do.
- Brown a package (or two) of your favorite Italian sausage. I used one package mild pork and one package mild chicken sausage
- Dice up an onion and some garlic, measure with your heart.
- While the above is in your crockpot getting all warm and browned cut up your cabbage, I only used 1/2 because that’s what fit in my slow cooker
- Dump in two cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes and two and 1/2 cans water
- Add in chicken bouillon (2 tbs about) or cut the water and just put in chicken broth
Let it all cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 – then add a splash of heavy cream and some Parmesan cheese before you serve (about 30 min).
